A Doorway to Persia

'A Doorway To Persia' was made to educate, inform, inspire, motivate and enlighten those who seek more knowledge about Iran and her people.

Sincere diplomatic dialogue has been recklessly abandoned and replaced with more economic sanctions and threats of war. As Dr. Martin Luther King so eloquently stated, "Today there is no longer a choice between violence and nonviolence. It is either nonviolence or nonexistence."

Please join me in demanding nonviolent solutions to conflict, and transparency and truth from governments and media. .

"There is no way to peace, peace is the way." - Gandhi

George Galloway in Vancouver: Free Palestine, Free Afghanistan, Free Speech

The man who gave the US Senate a solid drubbing in 2005, former British MP George Galloway came to Vancouver during his cross-country tour of Canada on November 22 -- and he had a lot to say. In this talk he tackles his nemesis Jason Kenney -- the man who illegally banned him from entering Canada in 2009. He continues by lambasting the complicit Neo-Conservative government of Canada and he laments our diminishing reputation as "Peacekeeping Canadians" on the international stage. Mr. Galloway then explores the persistent hypocrisy of Israel and the West vs. Islam and the Middle East. (With specific emphasis on Afghanistan and Palestine.) He concludes by discussing Iran and Islamophobia.

You may agree or disagree with some of the things George Galloway has to say but you can't disagree with his intentions and the force of his convictions.   >Galloway's passionate speech<

The Empowered Man

There is something simmering deep inside the soul of all Americans. We want to know that we are a free people; that the government acknowledges our individual rights; that fiscal responsibility is an absolute requirement. We want our presidents and politicians to mean what they say when they take the oath of office…”to defend the Constitution of the United States!”

Do we have freedom when half the country pays taxes to support the other half?
Do we have freedom when government regulates every aspect of our lives?
Do we have freedom when our currency is controlled by a corporation that has no accountability to the American people?
Do we have freedom when we have more debt than can possibly be repaid?

The government bureaucracy is to a point where it is no longer worth what the tax payer is required to maintain it. I wonder how many Americans realize they have sold our God given freedoms for a mess of pottage.

I hope everyone will see themselves as the Empowered Man. It makes no difference whether you are a man or woman, how old you are, or the color of your skin. You must decide to no longer be silent, to get off your bench, pick up that Constitution and hold it high in the air as a standard for the world to see. Don’t hold back! Don’t be silent! You are the future of this nation and without YOU, the American dream will perish. >scroll down to see large photo<

How the CIA Helped Create the Crack Epidemic

"There's no such thing as a conspiracy."

Really? That's not what journalist Gary Webb thought when he
broke the story of how the CIA helped create the crack cocaine
epidemic in the 1980's.

Of course, he died 'discredited' when he committed suicide
by shooting himself in the head, twice.

NBC's Dateline revisited Gary Webb's work sometime later..             >the full story<

Chris Hedges - Death of the liberal class

According to Chris Hedges, liberal institutions are to blame for the downward spiral of the American political system. In his Big Thinking lecture at Congress 2012, he argues that the liberal class—the press, universities, liberal religious institutions, labor unions and the Democratic Party—have forsaken their core values and sold out to corporate interests.

Chris Hedges was a foreign correspondent for nearly two decades for The New York Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Christian Science Monitor and National Public Radio, and the author of such books as War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning (2002), American Fascists (2007), I Don't Believe in Atheists (2008) and Empire of Illusion(2009). He is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute and has taught at Columbia University, New York University and Princeton University.   >Chris Hedges lecture<
