In this time when there is so much violence and myths about violence it can be surprising to learn there are things we as individuals and as groups can do to actually reduce violence. Meta Peace Team is one organization which trains people and develops teams to use known skills to reduce violence. A founder of Meta Peace Team, Rev. Peter Doughtery, and a soldier turned peace warrior and member of Meta Peace Team, Elliott Adams, will talk about these techniques and how these have been used in many countries, in the US, and can be used in our daily life. We believe if more people learn and use these skills we can change the levels of violence and take a great step toward peace.
