Fiery Speech on Native Rights, Solidarity

This fiery speech by native leader George Erasmus is an indicator of what has yet to happen. The emotion and raw aggression in his voice is firm and clear. The ability to use your voice to relay our inherent and indigenous rights is important and our leaders of today and tomorrow must speak the same path of understanding of current and future issues.

Psychopaths Rule The World

The Devaluation of Human Life
They claim to act on our behalf, but they do not. They don't even
answer to us. They kill in the interests of the state while
claiming to serve the interests of the people. And if you don't
like the way they are serving 'your interests'... tough.

They rationalize it.

They convince themselves of obvious contradictions and shrug it of
without the slightest sense of irony.

A Nobel Peace Prize winner being hailed as a promoter of unity and
peace even as he supports the overthrow and execution of a head of
state by terrorists and extremists.

It is a good deal more than hypocrisy, when psychopaths rule the
world...

Memorial Day Special: U.S. Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan Return War Medals at NATO Summit

Democracy Now! returns to Chicago, site of the largest NATO summit in the organization’s six-decade history, where nearly 50 veterans discarded their war medals by hurling them down the street in the direction of the NATO summit. We hear the soldiers’ voices as they return their medals one by one from the stage. "I’m here to return my Global War on Terror Service Medal in solidarity with the people of Iraq and the people of Afghanistan," said Jason Hurd, a former combat medic who spent 10 years in the U.S. Army. "I am deeply sorry for the destruction that we have caused in those countries and around the globe." Scott Kimball, an Iraq war veteran, adds: "For all the service members and veterans who are against these wars, you are not alone!" Against Empire: Fighting the "Reality Cartel"

Getting to the ROOT of the problem

There's a lot of great material out there.

This is one of the very best things I've
come across in a long, long time.

Make the time for this one. Takes notes.
Listen to it more than once.

It's the whole enchilada presented as cleanly
and clearly as you're going to find anywhere.

Immortal 23

Sen. Byrd & Iraq vet Tomas Young read names of the "Immortal 23" senators who voted against Iraq war

Uploaded on Sept 6, 2009

This documentary depicts the life of a disabled Iraq War veteran

Now let's give credit where it is due and look back on what some of these Senators had to say on October 11, 2002 or in the days leading up to that vote.

Mark Dayton (D-MN)

"There appears to be no imminent threat to the United States from Iraq. If there were, the Bush Administration could not have decided last summer to delay this unveiling until September because, in the words of White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card, Jr., 'from a marketing point of view, you don't bring out new products in August.'

"Because Iraq's threat is not immediate, and because U.N. diplomatic efforts are just under way, I believe it is unwise and unnecessary for Congress to vote now on a future use of military force. So why is Congress rushing to judgment at this time? It is for political advantage in the upcoming election, rather than diplomatic or military necessity."          >clip Body of War<
