Jafar Ramini

I listened with interest to Mr. Obama’s State of The Union address. If you’re not an American citizen or living and working in America it has nothing to offer you.

On the other hand, if you are a citizen of the world, or in particular, if you are a Palestinian it spells disaster. Just read this one paragraph and you will see what I mean.

“ As we speak, American diplomacy is supporting Israelis and Palestinians as they engage in the difficult but necessary task to end the conflict there; to achieve dignity and an independent state for the Palestinians and lasting peace and security for the State of Israel – a Jewish state that knows America will always be at their side.”

In this one paragraph Mr. Obama, ‘the peacemaker’, has endorsed Israel’s apartheid system that denies 1.2 million Palestinians who live in Israel and carry an Israeli citizenship equal rights simply because they are not Jewish. Furthermore, this one sentence has obliterated for us, the Palestinians who live in the Diaspora the right of return to our ancestral home, simply because we are not Jewish. AIPAC wins again.

My friends, the battle to prove who rules over America will begin in earnest this morning.

Congress is tabling an AIPAC-backed sanctions bill that would sabotage diplomatic efforts with Iran and lead America down the road to war. Again. However, President Obama reiterated in his State of the Union address that he would veto this bill.
The frightening reality is that the U.S. Senate is just eight votes short of passing a bill that would be veto-proof.

The American people must speak now or the Israel lobby will win on this one. Yet again.
Never has Voltaire been more accurate than when he said:
“ If you want to know who rules over you look around and found out who you’re not allowed to criticize.”
    Over to you, America.

Good morning,
Mr Obama will deliver 'The state of the union' address later today. I wonder what he'll be striving to "serve and protect"? The American people or Israel?
Please read this, reflect and speak your mind.     >Jafar's Report<                                                                 “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Jafar Ramini

Just came back from a visit to the physio for a nagging pain on my right shoulder. As you may recall, I had an operation last June.
The pain on my shoulder and the discomfort doesn't even begin to compare to the pain in my heart and soul over Palestine.
Every day, try as I may to find the silver lining, I can't. The clouds of doom and the bitter taste of loss and longing hangs over me like a wet blanket. When will the world wake up to the evil of Zionism? When will the Americans see Israel for what it is, an apartheid foreign interloper and a danger not only to us Arabs and Palestinians but also to humanity and civilization as we know it? When will the Arabs realize that in unity lies our deliverance? Hope springs eternal!

Jafar M Ramini is a Palestinian writer, commentator and analyst on Middle Eastern affairs living in London.
He was born in Jenin, northern Palestine, was educated in England and spent the early years of his working life in the Arabian Gulf and Saudi Arabia. He has traveled far and wide, searching for the answer to a question that still eludes him.
Why does the United States of America support the Zionist line in such a blind folded way while ignoring the legitimate rights of the indigenous Palestinian people? Particularly as the Palestinian people harbour no ill feelings towards America and its people nor has ever caused them any harm. It is, Jafar says, a conundrum.

A Pact With The Devil

Jafar M. Ramini Salem-News.com

The King of Israel is dead. Here’s to the demise of his appalling legacy.
Ariel Sharon                                                                                                                                        (LONDON) - Those of you who are familiar with my thoughts and writings will know by now that I loathe invoking any religious edict to make my point. In this case the exception is justified.

You would have to be living in the deepest recesses of the Amazonian jungle or the farthest reaches of Outer Mongolia not to have heard of the death of ‘the devil’ that was Ariel Sharon. Forgive me if I don’t shed a tear nor have a decent word to say about the dead but on this occasion I will just refrain from dancing over his grave.

Throughout the years since the Zionist movement first lusted after and gobbled up Palestine there have been many cruel leaders in Israel who appear to have been spawned by the devil himself. They surpassed the wildest of our imaginations in their brutality and inhumanity. None more so than Ariel Sharon, the “King of Israel”.

It would take me forever to list the crimes perpetrated by this devil incarnate against us Palestinians. But I shall try.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign

Jafar Ramini

The blockade on Gaza is a very harsh form of collective punishment of 1.7 million Palestinians.
    It's illegal, it's cruel and it's inhumane.
Israel must be taken to the ICC in the Hague for genocide and war crimes against the Palestinian nation.
Sitting on the fence will not do. Your silence is complicit.
Say no to Zionism. No to genocide. No to Israel's excesses.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      End Israel's blockade on Gaza
It is time for our Government to play its full part in finally ending the horrific siege on Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. The United Nations Works and Relief Association (UNWRA) has called for the ‘world community to lift Israel’s blockade on Gaza’.

Below is the wording of the petition which PSC will be taking to 10 Downing Street. We will be calling on the Prime Minister to take urgent action to end the siege of Gaza:

Immediate and permanent lifting of the blockade

We are calling for you to play your full part in permanently lifting, what the UNWRA has called “one of the longest blockades in human history”. Following floods and freezing temperatures, Gaza is a disaster area, and the situation is now catastrophic.

It is unsupportable and immoral for the blockade of Gaza to continue. Please heed UNWRA’s call and demand the immediate lifting of the blockade in order to allow recovery efforts to proceed.

Israel’s blockade on Gaza must be ended immediately and permanently.  >Link to Sign the Petition<

Chris Hedges: Will Iraq Ever Recover from the War? Democracy, Freedom, Safety, Stability (2007)

Published on Jan 8, 2014

Iraqi insurgency surged in the aftermath of the U.S. withdrawal. The terror campaigns have since been engaged by Iraqi, primarily radical Sunni, insurgent groups against the central government and the warfare between various factions within Iraq. The events of post U.S. withdrawal violence succeeded the previous insurgency in Iraq (prior to 18 December 2011), but have showed different patterns, raising concerns that the surging violence might slide into another civil war. Some 1,000 people were killed across Iraq within the first two months since U.S. withdrawal.
Sectarian violence continued in the first half of 2013— at least 56 people died in April when a Sunni protest in Hawija was interrupted by a government-supported helicopter raid and a series of violent incidents occurred in May. On May 20, 2013, at least 95 people died in a wave of car bomb attacks that was preceded by a car bombing on May 15 that led to 33 deaths; also, on May 18, 76 people were killed in the Sunni areas of Baghdad. Some experts have stated that Iraq could return to the brutal sectarian conflict of 2006.
On July 22, 2013, at least five hundred convicts, most of whom were senior members of al-Qaida who had received death sentences, broke out of Iraq's Abu Ghraib jail when comrades launched a military-style assault to free them. The attack began when a suicide bomber drove a car packed with explosives into prison gates.James F. Jeffrey, the United States ambassador in Baghdad when the last American troops existed, said the assault and resulting escape "will provide seasoned leadership and a morale boost to Al Qaeda and its allies in both Iraq and Syria ... it is likely to have an electrifying impact on the Sunni population in Iraq, which has been sitting on the fence."                                                   >Informative Panel Presentation<

DEFENCELESS OR INDEFENSIBLE?

By Jafar M Ramini

Jafar Ramini
Israel, since its inception, has portrayed itself as the little, defenceless lamb surrounded by a sea of voracious wolves. The Arabs. Therefore it is the duty of the world to support it and protect it at all costs. Every aggression, every expansion and every theft of Arab land and resources it commits is justified under the banner of ‘self defence.’
This utter lie has been swallowed, hook, line and sinker, by the west, especially the United States of America and acted upon ruthlessly.  No matter what Israel does Israel is justified because Israel has to defend itself.  Israel is given the latest arms and technology.  Israel is offered huge amounts of money. Israel is afforded blanket protection on the international stage and in international institutions and forums. Yet Israel is the ‘defenceless’ one.  The Arabs are the aggressors.
Here we are in 2014, a year that the United Nations has designated as the Year Of Solidarity with The Palestinian People. It is a decision that has had little, if any mention in the Western media. Why not?                          >Jafar's complete report<
